1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent from all government offices. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve them for a visitor, run an official check, or submit a filing.

Its content identifies Amelia County custodians, including the sheriff, court clerks, Piedmont Regional Jail, Virginia State Police CCRE, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. It may also connect a visitor with an outside research tool.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on the following restrictions. You will not:

• Use a bot, scraper, or other automated tool against the pages
• Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
• Interfere with access, performance, or availability for another visitor
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
• Use site content for a hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decision
• Violate a federal, Virginia, or local law while using the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct is prohibited and may also be criminal. Virginia Code § 9.1-918 prohibits certain unauthorized uses of Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry data intended to intimidate or harass. Registry information serves lawful public-safety awareness, not vigilantism, blacklisting, or discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, background checks, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners do not offer a site service designed for an FCRA-regulated decision. You agree not to use site or linked-tool data to:

• Set an insurance premium or assess creditworthiness
• Make a decision about employment
• Evaluate an applicant for housing
• Decide access to a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A check for a regulated purpose must come through an authorized official process or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.
